Nichole and Chloe

I was just on-line looking at the pictures from the agility seminar at K-9 basics.

You probably don't remember me because you work with so many people. I was at an Agility Class at K-9 Basics in November. My name is Nichole and my dogs name is Chloe. I know you said you would rather a video then an e-mail but I don't remember what I said on the video. I went completely blank when that tape went on and I want to make sure you know how much I appreciate both you and Kris.

As you probably know K-9 Basics is an awesome place. They have helped Chloe and I greatly. I was at the point with Chloe were I was about to give up. K-9 Basics was my last resort. Home life was horrible. She was ripping everything apart, playtime was nothing but biting, and she was just plain old acting out. I would be driving home from work crying knowing what I was going home to. Then outside of the house she was completely different. She was scared of everything and everyone. She didn't know how to act. She would just lay down on the ground and shake. K-9 Basics changed both my life and Chloe's life in so many ways. I had no idea it could get any better. Needless to say...it did.

Lisa approached me about the Agility Class. I automatically told her no. Chloe wouldn't do it, she was not as advanced as the other dogs, and she was not even off leash yet. The odds were against Chloe, plus I didn't have the confidence in myself. I didn't think that I could guide Chloe through it. I was at class on Friday and was looking at all of the equipment and then I decided definitely NO WAY !!! I was leaving class and Lisa stopped me. She TOLD me I was coming to the Agility Class the next day. I kept telling her no. She pretty much told me that if I didn't come I was stupid (not in them words). I left class and on the way home I decided that I was going to do it.

I had no idea what to expect. What was it going to be like? Could Chloe do it? Could I do it? I was a nervous wreck. Both you and Kris were absolutely amazing. You both took time to answer questions, help, cheer on, and guide Chloe and I. I never saw Chloe that happy outside of the house. She was actually jumping up and down, wagging her tail, and OFF LEASH !!!! She completed every obstacle (with the exception of one which we will master next time) with her tail wagging the whole time. Someone actually told me they could see Chloe smile after she would complete an obstacle. We both had so much fun. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think Chloe and I could do the Agility class. Not only did you give Chloe confidence but you gave me confidence as well.

You completely changed Chloe and I. It is now January and people ARE STILL to this day complimenting me on how great Chloe did at the agility seminar and how great she has been doing since then. People can actually see how the agility seminar changed her for the better. Chloe has been off leash ever since the agility seminar and doing great.

I want to thank you and Kris for helping Chloe and I. I still can not believe how one weekend can change so much. Both Chloe and I have so much confidence in ourselves it is unbelievable. There are just no words to explain what a difference you made in my life.

I will never be able to repay you but I wanted to thank you again from the bottom of my heart !!!

THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU ..........

It has been a lot of hard work with Chloe and when people realize how good she is doing it means a lot.

Yes you can use my e-mail as a testimonial. I would do anything for people to realize what a difference this can make. So if there is ever anything that you need please DO NOT hesitate to let me know.

I sincerely hope that you and Kris realize what awesome people you two really are.

I will absolutely stay in touch with you. I cant wait to see you next time!!!

Thanks again,
Nichole and Chloe

Kristyn and Sugar

Writing a testimonial isn't enough to show what an awesome program that My T dog is. Showing the world that a dog can be amazing is better than words alone.

I ran into Sue and My T Dog shortly moving back to Iowa in 2006. I watched them perform at a Bark and Brew and was hooked at how well behave their dogs were. I stress the well behaved because at the moment of watching the performances, my dog Sugar was attempting to remove my arm by way of leash.

Sugar is a full grown Siberian Husky. She is small for her breed but that does not take any of the power that she has away. When she got excited she would pull me where ever she wanted to. Walking this dog was not a pleasure and only a chore. If I wanted to go for a nice walk it was never any fun because I was always fighting for control of my dog. I couldn't jog I couldn't take her in crowds because she would pull me everywhere and never had total control. I was not able to let her off the leash because she would run. I had read many a book stating that Husky's will run and run and then forget where they came from. This was my greatest fear because she had actually gotten lose on me a few times and had to go out chasing her down.

Since I loved my dog I wanted to enjoy her and no fear of losing her.
I was lucky that day at the demonstration that Sue asked my permission to use Sugar in a demo. Sugar was completely different in a matter of minutes.
The change of her attitude was so quick I was hooked.

I signed up for Agility and training right away. Sue came to my house to talk with me and learn more about Sugar. Sue could tell that Sugar was very smart and willing to learn. She went over the program with me and within the first training class with Sue I had a different dog on my hands. I was able to let go of the leash and Sugar would stay right with me. Not even a week of working with us my dogs attitude towards me had completely changed. She no longer just listened when she wanted to, she listened all the time. My friends and family commented on what a completely different dog I had now.

They thought it was great that I was able to walk around the neighborhood with her leash free. Sugar looked for me to know what was ok to do and what was not. We were now able to go for walks with her leash free and not worry about her running off on me. This program was so great and so worth it. It is an awesome feeling to be able to connect with your dog and know that she understands what you want her to do.

The training also made a difference on how she acted with people. The big thing I stressed about with my dog when I first got her was her attitude with small children. I believe the family that I got her from let the little boy hurt her. Sugar would get nervous with small children and give a warning growl to keep them away. This would completely freak me out! However now having gone through the training I see that she is comfortable enough to let any children play with her or fall on her. She knows that I would not let them hurt her and I have never had a problem since.

I want to thank Sue and Kris for everything that she had done for Sugar and I. We cant wait for the nice weather so we can go out in public places and show off what an amazing dog My T Dog as made!

Tera, Doug, Ella and Bailey

This testimonial will not do justice for what Sue has done for us. Our dog Bailey, bless her heart, is a sweet dog, but an anxious dog.

Perfect example, the first meeting with Sue, when she came to our house to assess Bailey and find out which program would work best for us, Bailey would not even come down stairs. She stayed in our bedroom the entire time and barked....and barked.....and barked:)

Bailey is 4 years old, and Doug and I always knew that Bailey was a nervous, anxious dog, but we felt confident that we could help her ourselves, until the birth of our little girl. When we found out I was pregnant, I knew something different had to be done. After our daughter was a few months old, I met Sue. The timing could not have been better.

I explained to Sue that Bailey barks ALL of the time. She is afraid of EVERYONE except myself and Doug. She could not be taken out for walks, etc. for we were fearful of what she might do. When we would attempt to walk Bailey, it was Bailey walking the two of us and barking and growling at passers-by. We also had mentioned to Sue that now that we had Ella, our little girl, we wanted to try and gain some control of Bailey so an issue between her and Ella would never develop.

Sue came to our house twice, that with Doug and I working with Bailey, and attending training classes, there has been remarkable results. Sue would come around Bailey and rather than Bailey running and barking, she would go up to Sue and sniff. Our friends even commented right away on the positive change in Bailey, and believe it or not, we can now walk Bailey without any fear. We could NOT have asked for a better program and a better trainer than Sue. We are so happy with the results and the fact that we sighed up for the LIFETIME program-Bailey is only going to continue to be a wonderful dog. I would also like to mention that Ella is now 8 months old and her and Bailey are pals-they are quite the duo and they love each other so much. Sue and Kris........Thank you both so much, you have no idea what you have done for us!!!
